Merino is known for being one of the softest wools around, so pick this for your next to skin projects. Yarn spun from Merino can create a wonderful light, soft and delicate fabric that will still prove warm in the colder climates. The combing process removes shorter fibers leaving fibers with a staple length of 4 inches. Fiber is next to skin soft at 19.8 microns, drafts smoothly, and suitable for spinning and felting.
I hand dye the fiber using the lowest temperatures required to set the dye and handle the fiber as little as possible to prevent felting and preserve softness. This braid has been dyed in vibrant aquas, deep blue, with a pop of bright yellow.
Because computer monitors vary, you may see colors as slightly different as they are in real life. I try to take pictures that accurately represent the colors of the product. Please message me if you have any questions about the colors, or anything else.
Fiber is processed and stored in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.
