Blue Faced Leicester is sourced from Great Britain, and the combing process removes shorter fibers leaving fibers with a long staple length of 6 inches and is very lustrous. Fiber is next to skin soft at 25 microns, drafts smoothly, and suitable for spinning and felting.
I hand dye the fiber using the lowest temperatures required to set the dye and handle the fiber as little as possible to prevent felting and preserve softness.
This braid has been dyed in a virbrant aqua and bright yellow with subtle sandy accents. Some areas were left white to help temper the bright colors and provide some variation in color when spun.
Because computer monitors vary, you may see colors as slightly different as they are in real life. I try to take pictures that accurately represent the colors of the product. Please message me if you have any questions about the colors, or anything else.
Fiber processed and stored in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.
